Why it’s Important to stay Hydrated in the Summer

As winter turns to spring and spring turns summer, there’s always one part of the warmer climate and weather that affects us more than we realise, and that’s being dehydrated. It’s something that affects us all in the summer but it affects some people more than others. You should always stay as hydrated as possible because it can affect the way you think and the way your body works. So what can you use to stay hydrated throughout the summer and why is it important to make sure your body has all the water it requires. Lets take a look below.

Why is it important to stay hydrated?

Firstly, more than half of your body is made up of water and because you lose so much water every day (through sweat, toilet breaks etc) it’s very important that you constantly replenish the amount lost. Water in your body also helps to keep joints healthy and remove waste. If you end up getting dehydrated, the symptoms can be painful and very unpleasant. The symptoms include extreme fatigue, headaches, confusion, dizziness and dry mouth. Headaches are often one of the first symptoms that you’ll experience so if you start having one, get yourself a drink as quickly as possible.
